Girls & Boys With Confidence is looking for a Farm Manager. This position is part-time and includes weekdays and some weekends.  Our beautiful farm & facility is located at 10540 Browning Road, Lithia FL 33547. 


We are looking for a responsible individual that first and foremost LOVES working with animals and isn't afraid of hard work.  Applicants MUST have experience working with some animals or at least have experience with having pets and being responsible for them. 


PLEASE don't apply unless you meet these requirements and understand this is not the role for you if you are in need of a certain number of hours or income.  We want individuals that want to be there for the animals.


ROLES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Follow a checklist provided for each area of the farm
  • Be available to sub in from time to time when one of our volunteers can't cover their regular shift (AM, Mid-Day or PM shifts)
  • Cleaning areas such as the outside center screened in porch, sidewalks, storage sheds, boot bins, etc.
  • Water flowers and plants throughout the farm and center
  • Availability and flexibility is expected
  • Check in throughout the weekend on the farm animals
  • You MUST have your own transportation and not rely on family members unless they have a flexible schedule
  • Embrace and LOVE each animal- just like a parent...we can't have favorites
  • Do hard work when needed (ie. clean sheds & coops, pull weeds, grass & weed trim, spray for ants, etc.)
  • Blowing off sidewalks, parking lot or sweeping off screened-in patio, mopping, etc.
  • Helping prepare for any birthday parties or rentals we have at our center- setting up boots, cleaning off patio area, making sure farm looks presentable, etc.
  • YOU MUST BE RESPONSIBLE- show up for each shift and be on time. 
  • You MUST be at least 16 years old to apply


Part-time: Pay is $15-20/hr. depending on experience
