Part-Time Instructor

Girls & Boys With Confidence is looking for instructors in the Tampa Bay Area to help teach, guide, and inspire youth to become more confident and self-assured. We are looking for people who have a passion for empowering youth and want to give back to the community by being a mentor.

Instructor would primarily lead after school enrichment sessions in their assigned school/s in Hillsborough County or at our center in Lithia. Position is PART-TIME with approx. 3-12 hours a week, depending on how many assignments. Times could range from 1:30pm to 5:00pm depending on the school.

Applicants MUST have experience working in a group setting with children, teaching, OR professional business experience. PLEASE don't apply unless you meet these requirements and understand this is not the role for you if you are in need of a certain number of hours or income.

ROLES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Deliver public workshops, after school programs, events, and camps
• Facilitate groups and interact with girls &/or boys ages 5-18 years old
• Demonstrate excellent presentation skills - dynamic, energetic, and engaging
• Lead by example and foster a culture of learning, growth, and building confidence with our girls &/or boys
• Serve as a positive example by modeling attributes such as kindness, reliability, respect for others, inclusiveness, and a positive attitude
• Ensure that each workshop, event, and/or camp conducted aligns to our expectations by utilizing materials, guides, and support from the staff
• Organize fun, interactive activities directly from the curriculum
• Must be high energy and enthusiastic
• Prepare, setup, breakdown of each workshop
• Foster diversity by understanding, respecting, and embracing differences
  

Part-time: Pay is based on 2-3 hour classes- approx. $20/hr. Monday to Friday for after school. Opportunities to work weekend events & birthday parties we host.

Location: Depending on where you live, we have several schools we offer programs at throughout the following areas- South Tampa, Valrico, Riverview, Brandon, Lithia and Tampa.
